BLOCS is a coalition of residents, workers, and families in Atlanta and its surrounding areas committed to building safe and strong communities by organizing for public safety strategies that are effective, community-oriented, and non-discriminatory.
We believe that current approaches to public safety – such as more police and bigger jails – serve to alienate and divide residents in our communities and do not make us safer.
