We just learned that Friends of English Avenue and Atlantans Building Leadership for Empowerment have joined BLOCS and 9 other allies in calling for a qualified police executive for the Atlanta Citizen Review Board!
The AJC published an article today [1] indicating that the police union is advocating for a candidate whom they deem less qualified and not quite dedicated to transparency within APD. In this climate, it is increasingly important that communities stand up to declare that we demand transparency, honesty and fairness!
